Minh Khang is a cold, successful architect who has nightmares of a past life—a burning temple and a woman screaming his name. Hà My is a free-spirited art restorer who dreams of the same temple. When they meet to restore an ancient mural, reality shatters. They realize they have been lovers across three centuries.

By completing the "Work" (the extended film), the characters become self-aware and escape into our reality as actors. The final shot is the actors, not the characters. They realize they have been lovers across three centuries
They never break the curse. The "Work" is a loop. Each time they finish the story, they reset to the first meeting.
